Charlie hails from York, in northern England, where he has played in
many bands since 1983, including the locally famous "Jazz Woodbines"
and "The Burial". He has lived in France since 1993 and
plays a wide variety of different musical styles, from traditional blues
to traditional Irish music. A songwriter of exceptional talent, clearly
evident in the music of this band for which he writes most of the music
and lyrics. Kev grew up in Dublin, Ireland, and has been playing guitar for more
than 16 years. One of the few guitarists who can claim to have a PhD in
physics, Kev moved to Paris in February 2000 and subsequently earned a
reputation as a versatile rock and blues guitarist of considerable ability.
He also learned to play mandolin just four days before a successful tour
of Paris playing Irish music with Charlie and Nicolas Grivot. Eric is from Manchester, England, and has been drumming for 19 years.
He has played with many top jazz acts, including Alan Barnes, Bill Watrous,
and Bud Shank. He moved to Paris early in 2003 and is estabilishing himself
as one of the hottest drummers in town, equally capable in many settings.
Besides his work with The Bonewagon, he can also be found playing with
musicians from Madagascar, Cuba, Japan, and Brazil. Olivier is from Paris, France. He first joined The Bonewagon in 2001
before moving to live and play in Barcelona. Now, he's back in Paris and
back with the band again. A multi-talented musician, Olivier plays not
only bass and double bass, but also the guitar and piano. Need we say
more?
